We s end herewith N.sch.2979, shewing the radiator dropped 2" into the frame.
We have endeavoured to make as few alterations as possible, but in order to mount the radiator in a suitable position over the cross-member it appears necessary to lengthen the bonnet about .875".
This modification is one that has been generally thought desirable, and we think does not present any difficulties.
We have drawn the radiator for the increased taper outlined on N.sch.2980, but if subsequently it should be desired to make it suit the present taper it is merely a question of drawing.
In the plan view we have endeavoured to make the frame not less stiff than it is now. Should there be any indications of lack of stiffness we suggest that a larger front cross-member should be used experimentally, similar to that instructed for R's car, on N.sch.2888.
