To CWB. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to BJ. c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} ACCIDENT TO 15-EX CAR. Any time after the holidays we should like to discuss the cause of the accident to this car. We should prefer you to come up either on the 11th. 12th. or 13th. because Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and Mr. Hancock will be leaving for France on the 16th. with 12-EX car. I should very much like them to be present at any discussion because they have driven the car more than anyone else under the same conditions as when it crashed. We are still going ahead standardising [struck through] the steering exactly as fitted to that car because we have no evidence to shew in what way it can be improved. R.{Sir Henry Royce} in his memo.RL/M25.3.28 recommends that we scrap the present pendulum levers and fit the shorter pendulum levers to all cars. We have not yet seen your report on the accident; we should like to have this before our discussion takes place. We attach herewith reports from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and GWH.{George W. Hancock - Head Chateauroux} We are getting to know from Paris when the remains of the car will arrive, but we see no reason why this should delay the discussion on the cause of the accident.
