GRYLLS ESQ: Dear Sirs, REAR AXLE PINION BEARINGS With reference to your valued communication of the 11th instant, regarding the above, we wish to thank you for the additional details regarding the road test carried out on the 3/MDJT.30 bearing, and are carrying out a 500-hour test on the 4/MDJT.30 bearing as requested. With regard to the load which we shall apply during this test, it will be remembered that the loads on the 100-hour tests have represented 100% overload, and while it is quite possible that we could run for 500 hours with this loading, we would prefer to run at 75% overload for the first test, after which we will make any additional overload tests as may appear desirable.
