Contd. -2- EFC2/T13.12.20. suggested hole in the top of the switchbox to assist in keeping the cutout cool for other reasons than those conn- ected with the fuse. This, therefore, is to confirm that Mr. Warwick will have this hole cut in the switchbox on 2.EXm We will then place a fuse of the new wire in the fuse holder and I would like to have it reported to me how many miles the car does, with charging current on most of the time, before it is necessarynto replace this fuse. X.1198. Incidentally, owing to the presence on this car of a Willard battery, we expressly desire the charging switch to be kept on whenever the car is run, because we want to see if this battery will suffer in any way from over-charging. If Mr. Bailey is agreeable, and if no one sees any objection to the hole in the switchbox, we think this might be carried out on production cars from this point onwards, considering this as an alter- ation in the same way as the placing of a hole in the bottom of the dynamo and cover for the purpose of allow- ing water to drain away.
