| -3- (6) Intensive heating tests. (a) Secondary resistance after test :- 5900 ohms. Corresponding temperature :- 180 °C. Primary current at end of test :- 1.12 amperes. Ambient temperature :- 17.5 °C. Handwritten text on left: 6 hours running at 700 r.p.m on 17.5 volts in a temp. of 80°C Make ratio .70. (b) Secondary resistance after test :- 5800 ohms. Corresponding temperature :- 172 °C. Primary current at end of test :- 1.800 amperes. Ambient temperature :- 15 °C. Handwritten text in middle: When coil is hot as above no sparks can be obtained on 5.5 mm three point gaps. This constitutes a failure. (7) Preliminary breakdown test.
