X8796 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} [STAMP: SEP 18 1977] [STAMP: RECEIVED] By Wd {Mr Wood / Mr Whitehead} to EFC {E. Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} from Mr. re Watford EO.6 Magnetos. We seem to have struck a bad patch again with regard to the quietness of above. We returned six which were unsatisfactory in this respect to Messrs North & Sons last week. We have a further five at the time of writing which are below the standard we have established for silence. I feel it is necessary that I should advise you of the position we are in. Has the special magneto No.94201 been sufficiently tested to adopt it as standard. This is the magneto you will remember, which we tried in November last, and found satisfactory, and was handed to the Experimental Dept. to run 10,000 miles. Mr. [Signature] | ||
