BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X4241 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG23.1.23. GOSHAWK BONNET. X4241 X4240 We have carried out tests on the Goshawk Bonnet the results of which show that if we wish to increase the efficiency of the radiator, we must ventilate the bonnet. We consider that shutters are preferable to louvres. For a short time, we used to fit louvred bonnets to the 40/50 but they were abandoned because they made the engine appear more noisy. Shutters, sufficiently large, will give the same results as louvres. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
