Mr. Geoffrey Duveen, whom you probably know is a very enthusiastic and rich motorist, has brought over from America one of the new 12 cylinder Packards.

He is extremely impressed with it and unfortunately has sold his two Bentleys, and I understand is buying another Packard for his wife.

There is nothing tremendously alarming in this, however, because Mr.Duveen is always buying new cars.

The point is that Mr.Duveen is willing to lend his Packard to us for a whole day - either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week, and Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} is keen that either you or Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} should take this opportunity of trying it.

Will you please let me know what you can arrange, so that I may advise Mr.Duveen which day is suitable.

C.
