| STEADMAN # +V40 To Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Fixed Radiator Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}1/E10.12.35 Copy to E.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Shutters. Referring to what I saw in the Experimental Department last week on a RR, I understand that a scheme will be fixed up for inspection on a Bentley. As a matter of fact, to save time, you might care to arrange for the radiator, when ready, to be sent to London for us to look at. I mentioned when at Derby that I thought it was more important on the Bentley than on the RR because, whilst I had seen complaints of rattling radiator shutters on Bentleys, I did not remember having seen them on RR's, which is not unreasonable in view of the much stiffer springing of the Bentley. I find on investigation that this is borne out by the quarterly complaints where for the last quarter the return shows no complaints of rattling shutters on RR's but 49 on Bentleys. Sg.{Arthur F.
