We beg to confirm your wire, reading :-

Despatching pistons and rings complete from fortyfour FK Fit these as soon as received - Hives.

We thank you for your letters of the 27th inst.

We have no doubt as to which way our piston rings are fitted. These were carefully watched when fitting up.

You will also notice that our oil consumption is gradually improving.

Are we to take it that a further 10,000 miles have to be run on the new pistons which are coming over, or will the ten thousand miles be finished when this distance has been run on the flexible coupling and steering column ?

Re Cambridge thermometer, giving temperature of oil, we have calibrated this with two glass thermometers obtained from Paris.

Cambridge thermometer. Glass thermometer.
