TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} ORIGINAL E1/M24.5.27 Copy to BY [Struck through] re. EAC. 7. X770 [Struck through] X790. X7050 We are pushing on with a revised engine having a 9" high crankchamber, and cylinder blocks fitted with dry liners, as it is not thought worth while to standardise EAC.7. engine in its present form. This engine can also be tried with alter-native cylinder blocks having wet liners, using the same crankchamber, cylinder head, and valve gear. We should like to know what compression ratio is now in use on EAC. 7., and if this is considered satisfactory. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [Stamp: RECEIVED 25 MAY 1927] | ||
