These are in the same condition as previously reported. Operating shafts bolted to front axle - the wear has slightly increased, but we should consider these to be reasonably good. They do not rattle.

Front Road Springs.

Since our last report the N.S. spring has been changed, due to the failure of the 3rd leaf - 2" rear of rear clip. - which has run 9,654 miles.
The O.S. spring is still O.K., the mileage of this spring being 8,904. Rear anchorage of N.S.F. spring - this was reported flange broken on our daily report 27.5.25. the mileage being 18,638. The old type flange which was fitted to replace same is still O.K. The O.S.F. anchorage is quite O.K.

Undershield.

This has got considerably knocked about by stones, etc.

Exhaust Silencers.

As previously reported, the front silencer is almost bare, the lagging having been practically torn off. The rear silencer lagging is in a similar condition. Silencer brackets are slightly bent, but are O.K. We notice that the sliding joint, fitted to front of front silencer, does not function. It is capable of working if circumstances warrant it, but apparently there is no expansion of the front exhaust pipe taking place at this point. The rear sliding joint, as previously reported, works through a distance of 1/2".

Exhaust Cut-Out.

We have had no report of this sticking, since our last report.

Exhaust Snout.

This is still quite satisfactory.

Engine Fabric Coupling.

This coupling, after 17,692 miles, shews slight bulges between each anchorage. The fabric itself is quite sound, and, as previously reported, is quite a satisfactory job.

Pedals to Sch. L.O.P. F.72359.

These bearings are still in a good condition. No apparent wear has taken place.

Clutch.

As reported on our previous sheets, this has slipped on one or two occasions, otherwise it has functioned O.K., and we have had no slip of late. Personally, I have not been able to obtain the clutch slip as reported, but from the reports of the drivers, the slip has occurred when picking up from slow speed.
