STANDARD GEARED MOTOR
Max torque type prefferred
could be registered type perhaps
makes a convenient & satisfactory belt drive.
High speed & efficient motor to lower first cost with good power factor
Small space & weight.
This shows an industrial motor (3 phase) with reduction gear (or for crane work)
The motor if small run 3000 & if larger @ 1500 (4 pole)
The gear is internal & enclosed therefore silent & clean & lubricated & can be nitro-hardened (without distortion) but to suit the casing must be about 3 to 1 ratio [wonderfully good type of gearing]
A belt pulley, pinion or coupling can be on the second motion shaft, & brake drum over casing.
