Bentley Chassis.

We attach herewith a list of the Design work completed on the Bentley chassis during the last month, and also particulars of design work in hand.

Design work on Bentley III chassis is well advanced, the frame has been completed and the cruciform member is nearing completion.

The frame design was discussed this week with representatives of Rubery Owen, and in order to simplify the production of the side member pressings and to reduce the distortion during welding it was decided to modify the bottom flange of the box section side members. The flange will now be vertical instead of horizontal.

This modification does not entail very much alteration to existing instructions, and the design work for it will be completed in a few days.
