ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: G.F.G. Order No.: IC130. Customer's No.: X 4617S. Re Failure of P&R cell in SX Battery (159) One P&R cell has failed in this battery (cell no 4) after having run 13,787 miles + been on our bench life test - 9 mths.{Reg Matthews} The cause of failure was due to the stretching of the positive plates allowing sediment to accumulate on the top of the separators. The plates + separators were in good condition & the positive plates had lost very little paste. This cell was replaced by a P&R cell from S4 battery. Signed: G.G. | ||
