RR 238(150 BKS.) (SH57.29-6-20.) MP 224358 X.8983 ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. March 30th 1926 To EFC Order No. PC. 102 Customer's No. X 8660 Complaint Machine Returned from Hoopers. JU.95. off Chassis 89MC. The complaint about this machine is high output. It was first run on the rig as received, and the peak readings, hot, taken, these being; 11.0 amps at 17.5 volts, 1150 rpm. Temp. 75°c. To confirm this performance, the machine was put through sections (4), (5) + (6) of the production test with the following results:- Output. 11.3 amperes at 18.0. volts. G.C. Volts. 13.8 at 540 rpm. The brush positions were then checked and found to be, M.14 segments. C.17+segment (124°) From these results the machine appears to be quite normal, the output, if anything, being on the low side, but about what would be expected with a control brush angle of 124°. Signed C.A.P. This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
