To B.J. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X1588 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG30.1.26. 'VEEDOL'. British Mineral Oil Products Ltd. BJ10/H29.1.26. Springfield recommend a large number of other oils alternative to Veedol. The last list we had from them was as follows :- Vacuum Mobiloil. Valvoline. Socony. Veedol. Tiolene. Texaco. Oilzum. Sunco. Supreme. We believe there are very few ^compound oils in America, the general run is straight mineral oils. It would be very little use there recommending any oil in America which could not be easily obtained. The advantage of a compound oil over a mineral oil is not very great and only makes itself shewn under exceptional conditions which are very rarely attained. We see no reason why we should recommend 'Veedol' oil even if it was satisfactory. One of the essential points in recommending any oil is that it should be widely distributed. H s. | ||
