(6) Shutter pivot pins to have screw adjustment in bearing strips as mentioned in HPS. {Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} 3/EP. {G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} 11.12.36. - see drawing EX.194 attached.

(7) Shutter supported off shell, suitably stiffened, or off matrix unit, compensating for expansion by means of vertical end play and spring loading - this should be preferable to supporting them off the yoke, which must flex considerably under working conditions.

(8) Wider and more resilient bearing strip to be used - suggest .750 wide and .100 thick. We will forward sample of suitable fabric - see Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std3/AP.11.12.36.

(9) The question of recessing the shutters into the shell sufficiently to enable them all to be made the same length enclosed within shell, should be worth in-vestigation from an appearance standpoint.
