RE. VALVE SPRINGS. X8060

Replying to BY/Cgh{W Clough}18/G16.4.28. We are certainly in agreement that the tool which we supplied for the new valve springs should be applicable when the head is fitted to the engine.

We cannot see any reason why we should supply two tools to remove valve springs. The one which the Expl: Dept: use for removing the spring with the head in position can be just as well used with the head off the engine.

Our recommendation therefore is that we should change the design of the tool so that it can be used whether the head is on or off.
