Dor.{Mr Dorey}1/EKB. 14. 2. 36.

We should like your permission to arrange for H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} P. Henry to be allowed to use his car on the firm's business, under the usual conditions.

This man has already been through the Works as a premium apprentice, and is doing quite good work here on the engine side of the aircraft. He will shortly sit for his Ground Engineers' license, and we propose making use of him on prototype installations, such as Fairey and Supermarines, both of which are nearing completion.

We have, as you know, E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} R.{Sir Henry Royce} Platford doing this work outside at the moment, but in view of the fact that so many new machines are nearing completion, we shall have to have someone else to take over some of the extra jobs, and it is for this purpose that we should like Henry to be allowed to use his car on the firm's business.

Dor.{Mr Dorey}
