20 HP. FLEXIBILITY IN SERVO MECHANISM.
---------------------------------

The Standardization Sheet which I discussed with you this morning, which is going round on the strength of the steel-plate springs, is a 20 HP. proposal, and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} does not propose at the moment to make any change from rubber on the Phantom.

On the other hand, he is of the opinion that it might be safer to go for a rubber on both the 20 HP. and 40/50 HP. rather than the spring.

In view of the foregoing, please rough out a scheme to cover flexibility with a rubber disc on the 20 HP. following exactly similar lines and proportions to the 40/50. and submit same.
