Serious issue with dynamo connections and awaiting a resolution from Lucas.

X3220 About a fortnight ago we sent you some pieces from the car dynamo. They have not been returned to us yet, neither have we heard what the Lucas people propose doing to make these connections more satisfactory. This is a trouble that we may expect to occur on all the dynamos at present being sent out, and the result would be that the dynamos would be cutting in at some erratic speed in various dynamos. It was noticed here that when this bad connection was temporarily corrected, the dynamo cut in at a remarkably slow speed, which apparently is as early as one could expect. I shall be glad if Mr. Clark will at once report what the Lucas people are proposing to do in this matter, as it is quite serious. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
