X3839 EFC3/T. 10th December, 1926. Mr. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} R.{Sir Henry Royce} N. Minchin, 50, Grosvenor Gardens, London, S.W.1. Dear Mr. Minchin, It would be interesting to know what your Works reported in connection with the parcel of plates and separators taken out of the U.S.A. Multiple Storage cell, as referred to in your M/5. of the 15th June, last. In reply to your query, the battery for Mr. Royce's chassis 7-EX will be one of our sandwich batteries and will contain the following cells :- 1. P & R otherwise standard cell with threaded rubber separators with ribbed sides towards the positive plates. 2. Otherwise standard Exide cell but with threaded rubber separators. (ribbed sides towards positives) SS{S. Smith} 3. Standard P & R cell of the old type. 4. " Exide " " " " " 5. Otherwise standard Exide cell with threaded rubber separators.(ribbed sides towards positives) 6. Otherwise standard P & R cell with threaded rubber separators with the flat sides of the separators towards the positive plates. I should be pleased if you would let me know at what price you could let me have another 60-volt unit with the porcelain pot cells. Although of small capacity, these are very convenient units where charging can be arranged for between whiles. Yours sincerely, | ||
