We have carried out tests with the Lancia Lambda car. Before doing this, we loaded up the back of the car to obtain the same spring deflection as on the 20 HP. This was in order to somewhat counteract the exceptionally stiff rear springs fitted to this car for Continental work.

Our results shew that with high tyre pressures the Lancia Lambda is not very much better than the Silver Ghost in the back seats. The car is fitted however with balloon tyres which when run at inflation pressures of 25 and 35 lbs/ sq.in. give a very considerable improvement in riding.

From our observations when driving the Lancia Lambda car we should say that the greatest benefit derived from their original front suspension is evident - (a) in the front seats (b) Over what would normally be considered bad roads at speeds of about 40 m.p.h.
