S/W. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} re-Continental Phantom III. 300 B Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}11/KW8.4.37. Whilst we appreciate in London that no date has yet been fixed for this car to go to France, I want to make it clear, in view of the absence of knowledge of that date, that we are very anxious for the car before it goes to France to go to Barker's Works where they can look fully and carefully over it before its departure, so as to tighten up or adjust everything they consider necessary. If therefore you are able yet, or in the near future, to fix an approximate date for its departure will you please make provision for possibly a whole day, or maybe two days if necessary, prior to that for Barkers to look over it as above mentioned. Also, whilst it is in France we want Mr. Munro, or any other representative of Barkers he may depute, to go over there and have some experience of it on French roads during its long distance test. However, I can arrange that with Barkers as soon as I know that the car has actually gone over and done some mileage. As soon as therefore as you know the approximate date of its intended departure for France will you please let me know. Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Kwb | ||
