PHANTOM CHASSIS "G2A" SERIES ONWARDS.
FRONT SPRINGS AND FITTINGS SEC:7020.

INCLINATION OF FRONT AXLE.

Kindly note by Alteration No: 10828/F.{Mr Friese} we altered the angle of the Taper Packings under the Front Springs to give an inclination of the Front Axle of 2º instead of 1½º - 1¾º as at present.

This is in accordance with instructions from the Expl:Dept.(Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}) to make the Axle Inclination 2º for all Chassis fitted with Front Axle Control Dampers, that is, for "F-2-A" Series onwards.

All chassis already built will not be altered but this modification should be introduced as soon as possible without scrap.

Will BY/TWD.{T. W. D???Aeith} kindly alter the Arrgt.Drawing of the Front Axle in accordance with the above.
