[REDACTED] X5830 BY/Ogh8/G.4.9.29. 20 HP. CHASSIS. With reference to DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/W.28.8.29. we understand that coachbuilders were given permission some years ago to fit bodies measuring 113" from the dash, although the dimension was always given as 111" on our chassis prints up to the 50th chassis in 'O' series. We were of the opinion that all those concerned realised this, and consider that provision should have been made when fixing the position of the filler on the new tanks. The dimension was increased to 113" on our chassis prints for 51 in 'O' series at the request of Sales Department, and there seemed no objection to doing this in view of the above. However, we are arranging for the fillers to be altered so that they lean back at an angle of 15o to the vertical for all chassis from the first in 'P' series, and dimensions will be added on our chassis print as per the last paragraph of your memo.
