Mr. Spinney reminds me that we also agreed to try the effect of insulating material on the front of the dash board, i.e. engine side, as in his opinion some of the discomfort is caused by conduction of the heat through the dash board giving the effect of a hot plate in front of you. In this connection I happened to notice in the Repair Shop the other day an old chassis which had a wooden dash board covered with aluminium sheet about 1/8" thick on the drivers side with asbestos sandwiched between the wood and aluminium. I was astonished to find the aluminium plate quite hot. This chassis had been driven on the road with only two test seats fitted and no scuttle. Bn.{W.O.
