C.C. 1 - 3 4 8) 16 This is largely a seasonable complaint, but with the new large gap radiator matrix with indented tubes, and in exceptional cases louvred bonnets, this can be definitely cured. Copper matrix tubes with increased indentations are now standard. Depot Sheet No. Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}171 deals fully with this complaint. C.C. - - - 16 16) 27 An improved type of coupling with machine riveted driving plates is now being used on all Ph.I and Ph.II cars. See Depot Sheets Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}163/167/180/194. The new coupling is fitted whenever there are signs of failure of the original coupling. The life of these couplings is still too short and further improvement is necessary.
