He. - from Royce. X512. ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS/11/P.11.2.30. FABRIC ENGINE DRIVING COUPLINGS Further to our memo ROY{Sir Henry Royce}/MS1/P.14.12.29, we would draw your attention to the fact that we are still waiting your report on the Hillman Fabric Couplings which you have had in hand for some time. The Executive are pressing for every economy to be effected in the purchasing of Chassis material, and, provided the Hillman coupling is satisfactory, a saving in this one item could be effected to the extent of approximately 17½% per piece, or on 450 chassis £27.2.6. We are just about to order Couplings for "H2" Series and shall be much obliged if you will advise us whether Hillman Couplings may be ordered or not. We may say that several well known Motor Car firms have standardised same for their cars. Roy{Sir Henry Royce} [signature] | ||
