The continuous running test of self-adjusting tappets and comparison of different plunger types.

At present the self adjusting set of tappets Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1210 in the chassis are being run continuously to see if wear takes place and its effect, also an arrangement is being devised to prevent oil draining back from the rocker shafts and oil pipes etc.

Further tests include the comparison between radial ended plungers giving line contact (at present used) and free to rotate plungers with spherical ends giving point contact.
