B.60 No.3 - Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary}

Latest move on the above head is letting the plugs further in the combustion chamber.

New double valve springs to be checked for bounce and surge etc.

This job is important and if satisfactory will be allocated for 50,000 miles on 3.B.50 chassis.

(b) In the event of this head not being ready, fit any standard cylinder head and take tests on Humber damper (crank oscillations) which is being procured by Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/JRS.

In consequence, the parts for fitting same should be urged.

(c) In the event of not being able to proceed with (a) or (b) take an investigation of camshaft on this B.60 No.3 as carried out on B.80 No.1 unit with:-

(1) Existing camshaft.

(2) Ex.33974 camshaft as ordered by us in our memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}2/MH.{M. Huckerby}2.3.39.

The work in No.5 is very important, likewise B.80 No.6 when available.
