Proposition to the War Office regarding experimental work on a new machine and its funding.

They are anxious that we should put a proposition up to the War Office on these lines as soon as possible.

We would like to point out however that a certain amount of experimental work will obviously be necessary to produce this machine, and it will have to be decided whether we shall carry out this work as a matter of policy at our own expense or ask for a development contract.

We feel it would be to our advantage to satisfy their requirements as they appear to consider the electrical and wireless installation on the tanks of paramount importance and if our engine carried a dynamo which satisfied their requirements it would enhance our reputation against other engine competitors.
