Copy for attention of Mr. E.W. Hives, L Rolls Royce Ltd. Derby, England. X3538 November 9th, 1927. OYL.R.11927 TO Mr. Ainsworth Mr. Southern Mr. Caswell FROM Mr. Olley cc - Mr. Beaver Mr. Nadin Mr. Burton Mr. Bagnall Mr. Poole RE - TIRES PRESSURE IN FRONT TIRES Yourclaim that 40 lbs. in the front tires is desirable has been tried out further by Mr. Caswell on MX{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer}-5, who confirms that steering is improved, wobbling tendency reduced and raised about 8 m.p.h. and riding in the rear seat is not impaired. In the front seat the effect of the harder tires at low speeds is noticeable but not objectionabbe. It is therefore recommended that the depots be advised and page 125 of the instruction book altered to call for 40 lbs. in front and 35 lbs. at the rear. OY MO/R | ||
