Dear Robotham,

With reference to our conversation yesterday, when I had the pleasure of calling upon you. I immediately wrote from Nottingham to Mr. Worth at the factory, as I was unable to get him on the telephone, requesting him to write you fully as soon as possible regarding the fitment of Aero Cushion tyres to the Bentley, giving you his advice as to the most suitable size, etc., and asking him to give you weight, rolling radius, etc., with a special reference to 6.50-16, which was the size you yourself wished to try.

I also asked him to advise you definitely whether the tyres sent to France for test were of the old or new type Speed Special.

I also confirm that I understood you would have no objection to the tubes being fitted with the new "Ezemount" valve cap fitment (a sample of which I showed you) provided these were chromium plated.

I should be most interested to hear from you in due course whether the two new sets of 5.50-18 redesigned Speed Specials which have just been sent you are less noisy, owing to the elimination of the "fan" action which I explained to you.

As soon as you have settled to fit a Bentley with the Aero Cushion tyres, I should be so grateful if you would allow me to come and see it and hear what your opinion and experience has been with these tyres. Please advise me in due course.

Please do not hesitate to let me know if I could be of any further use to you as regard tyres and wheels.

I/
