[Handwritten note in margin: Mr. Clarke]

Dear Sirs,

We are obliged by your letter of the 24th and beg to say the delay in sending you a scheme for indicator rig is due to extreme urgency of other work.

Please send us a rough sketch of the general arrangement of the Mercedes-Gotha Biplane Engine, giving overall dimensions, main centres, inclination of cylinders, etc. so that we can arrange if possible for the rig to suit two purposes by a little consideration.

On receipt of your reply the matter will be put in hand without delay.

Yours faithfully,

G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Cussons, Ltd.,
