Regarding the difficulty with the front dampers and the axle control I must leave this until I see the best we can make of it. 7" to 8" levers seem to be the minimum. The spring b~~a~~lls could do us no good even if we accept that they make the axle. control ineffective unless I understand the suggestion wrongly. The only idea I have is to lower the damper nearer the axle or fit it forward with a longer lever, or alter the anchorage of the road springs back to the front, but I will await what OA/HDY. {William Hardy} and HS {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /RM. {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} agree is good.

I am hoping for rapid progress with this work, but I am a little concerned that the big car damper, to be large enough for a 3 ton job, will be very inconveniently large and strong for a 2 ton job which is scaled about .8 linear dimensions everywhere.
