1029 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}5/MH.{M. Huckerby} The New-Huddon Ltd., Icknield Street, Birmingham, 18. 1st. November 1937. For the attention of Mr.Frazer. Dear Sirs, We have received the four expander plungers with the altered slot position, and we will have them fitted to our first Bentley fitted with Girling brakes as soon as possible. We will expect in due course sufficient plungers to replace those in the expanders already received. The expanders ordered but not yet delivered we will expect to have rather stiffer split pins retaining the plungers. Future supplies will have a still stiffer ground pin in place of a split pin, and we would like to see your drawing of this in due course. We understand that you recommend Duckham's K.G.20 for packing the wedges. We should like to thank you for your prompt attention in this matter. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
