X4190 PISTON KNOCKS ON POST-WAR CARS.

With reference to the attached report from Cricklewood.
The method they explain for overcoming piston knocks on post-war Cars has been adopted at the works from the introduction of these pistons.

We understood that all outside Depots were instructed by the Test Department as to this method of over-coming these piston knocks. We explained the procedure to Mr. Royce and he raised no objection.
