BONE GREY FIBRE. X.4646.

Herewith we hand to you two samples of bone grey fibre. The long piece is a sample taken from present production and the other is our piece from which you have already made us and fitted to levers, quite a number of rubbing blocks. These have always given particularly good results and we are wondering if the material which is being used on production is really as good as this other.

I should be pleased if you would give us your opinion on this point, as a result of producing a couple of rubbing blocks made from the sample taken from production, which we would like to have fitted to levers sometime later when occasion arises.

A suggested comparative test is the Brinnell test. If it is convenient to take this test on each material we should be pleased to know the result.
