| THE PYTCHLEY SLIDING ROOF SALOON THE best saloon can be very stuffy—the best tourer can be frightfully draughty and wet. Compromises in the shape of interchangeable bodies have failed in the past for a variety of reasons. The only perfect saloon with the dual purpose body is agreed by the press and the public to be the Pytchley Sliding Roof. It is rigid and solidly constructed as a conventional saloon, and has no collapsing features to wear or rattle. It is perfectly conventional in appearance when closed, and in fact indistinguishable from a high grade saloon. When, however, you require fresh air without draughts, and greater visibility when passing through beautiful country, then a touch of your finger, and the sliding roof can be thrown back. It stops in varying positions, and automatically locks itself rigidly, and it is weatherproof, and free from draughts, vibration or rattle, at all speeds. The sliding panel can be operated while the car is in motion, and the interior immediately flooded with fresh air. You cannot afford to tamper with experimental fittings. THIS roof has been known to experts and delighted owners for years, and is in daily use on a large number of well known chassis. It costs a little more than some of the experimental “fresh air” roofs, but it is perfect in appearance and in action, and therefore cheaper in the long run.
