While the Vandervell tri-metal bearing is more satisfactory than their lead bronze bearing it is infinitely less satisfactory than the standard R.R. bearing. * We have been informed that this is a straight 35% lead, 65% copper alloy and that the actual bearing was made out of the same strip as that which Vandervell claim was successfully tested at over 6000 lbs/sq.in. by Leyland. | ||
