Is it possible that the same design would do for D.C., as well as A.C., if modified to single end, and side by side brushes? [Diagram Annotations] Cables might damp vibrations. Motor cover. This piece may need a window for end of carbon to pass into. The square bar must be rigidly held to motor frame. Drive it into square broached hole in drop forged plate which has two screws or bolts through motor cover. Outer plate and large or slotted holes to place it very near collector rings.
