| HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ S/W. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} x-v52 Stellited Valves. Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}7/KW7.9.35. Thanks for Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}8/KW6.9.35. It would seem from what you say that it would not be very helpful to you to have these exhaust valves fitted in any Bentley cars which are used in this Country, firstly, because the going is not strenuous enough, and secondly, it is not likely that any of our cars will remain in our hands for the necessary 25,000 miles. Would it not suit you, therefore to send some of these exhaust valves to Paris to be used in the French Trials Car B-1-CW ? You do not say whether Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car has these valves, but this might be a good one to put them on if it not already so equipped. Would you therefore please let me know whether you think it is any good pursuing the matter any further so far as English cars are concerned in view of your remarks? Cx.{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager} Hives | ||
