CREAKS FROM SPRINGS

Up to the present time the Spring on test fitted with three "Spauldite" Interleaves has completed 520,000 - 2" oscillations. As yet we can detect no evidence of creaking from the interleaf which is being run dry, nor are there any signs of wear.

On test at the same time is a Spring Shackle which you asked us to adapt to our machine, and this has also run for 520,000 oscillations. We shall be able to examine both the Shackle and the Interleaf more carefully when the spring is finally dismantled.
