Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. D/RR. WST X6045 Sft{Mr Swift}/JMW7/BH18.11.32. RECEIVED NOV 19 1932 Blue Sheet 23528 - 0/89770. Ch. GZU-11. Yates. one Dynamo D.52450. Dept. concerned:- Below we give you copy of a report from the "I personally examined this machine on its arrival. As I could see nothing wrong with it externally, I had it put on the test. It certainly did not charge immediately, but having noticed grease on the Commutator, we took out the broaches, and noticed a small patch of thick grease under the negative brush. When this was wiped off the machine was quite O.K. There certainly was no need for this machine to have been returned to the works, our man could have put it O.K. in a very few minutes. As a matter of fact I think that in cases like this we should make certain that the customer had cleaned his broaches before we went to the expense of sending a man. My personal opinion is that any charges should be borne by the R.D.". sft{Mr Swift}/JMW. | ||
