Leyland,
LANCS.

For the attention of Mr.Gollop.

Dear Sirs,

Car Heater Connections - O/N.79860.

Referring to your letter of 13th. inst., we have received the two car heater couplings mentioned and are returning them herewith. It has been unnecessary to put them on test since as soon as the writer tentatively tried the rubber to metal bond manually, the metal inserts were found to be loose in the rubber and pulled out easily.

We cannot understand your sending in these units in this state for test, since the adhesion of the rubber to the metal was practically non-existent - presumably you could have tried this yourselves before despatch.

We shall be interested to have your comments on this subject.

Yours faithfully,

for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
