Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn7/H30.11.26. re. PACKARD STRAIGHT 8. With reference to R's memo R4/M25.11.26. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} instructs in connection with this that we should ask you what are the two or three features which the 8 cylinders in line scheme definitely eliminates, as compared with the six cylinder engine. We should also like to know at what car speed the period comes on and whether it is as bad as reported, also whether there is any damper scheme. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} would like to try this car if you think there is likely to be an opportunity for him to do so, as he has heard reports that it is quite worth trying. EP{G.
