C O P Y. X.967 720, Dominion Bank Building, Toronto, Aug. 20th.1914. Messrs Rolls-Royce Limited. Derby, England. Gentlemen :- Referring to your communication WOR{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}/CP12/022614 re lubricating oil. I am sending you under separate cover pamphlet showing the lubricants furnished by the Vacuum Oil Company which I understand is controlled by the Standard Oil Company. You will note from their list that they recommend their Gargoyle Mobiloil "A" for Rolls-Royce cars. Since the Vacuum Oil Co's oils are largely used throughout Canada and the United States I think it would be a good plan for you to make a practicable test on their oil, a sample quantity of which you could obtain from the Vacuum Oil Co., whom I believe have an office and carry a stock in London. Mr Cawthra Mulock of this City is now using this oil on his car and I understand it is giving satisfaction. He is using the "B" grade, which in my opinion is somewhat heavy. Yours faithfully, (sgd) J.C.Royce. JCR/MH{M. Huckerby} R.R. 226A (150 H) (W.W.) 604. 16-7-14 (14) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 0702. | ||
