When this same type of make and break was used on pre-war cars with the trembler coil, practically no trouble was experienced, but this is hardly a fair comparison for the simple was reason that the trembler coil ignition will hardly ever be used except for starting the engine, on account of excessive noise made by the buzzing of the coil, quite apart from the fact that the power at high speeds was not good.

(3). With regard to the High Tension Distributor Points on the 20HP. when running Magneto. We cannot give much from experience, because, as pointed out above, the magneto on the 20. is not regularly used, and it is probably only used by 99% of owners in a case of necessity. X5790

(4). With regard to 20HP. Dynamo Brushes, our Stores records show that over 100 of each type have been booked out in approximately 6 months, and these have been sent to outside customers which includes Depots, Agents and Private Owners, and it does not include those fitted in Mr. Brock's Department, during repairs. X5670

We would say we find new brushes are generally necessary after a Dynamo has been out for some time, chiefly on account of wear but also on account of the edges being chipped. Reduction in length due to wear accounts for the greatest number.
